17th September

19:00-20:00 UK

20:00-21:00 CET

During the expansive energy of the waxing moon, we offer you an art therapy online creativity class focusing on intuitive art. Led by our inhouse artist Susanna, this art therapy online creativity class offers a safe and supportive space for you to delve into the depths of your creativity, intuition, and connection to your higher self. Learn to trust the process and enjoy it!

At its core, intuitive art is about tapping into one's intuition, emotions, and subconscious mind to create art that is deeply personal and authentic. This approach encourages participants in this art therapy online creativity class to trust their instincts, let go of expectations, and embrace the present moment as they engage in the act of creation.

Through guided exercises and prompts, you will learn to bypass your inner critic and tap into your innate creative instincts. No prior art experience is necessary – this art therapy class is designed for individuals of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned artists.

Our emphasis is not on the end result, but rather on the process of creation and the insights that emerge along the way.

In addition to artistic exploration, Susanna will incorporate elements of mindfulness and reflection, guiding participants through practices that deepen their connection to themselves and their innermost thoughts and feelings. In this art therapy online class we use coffee ☕️  as a medium to create dreamy extensions of our inner world.

Key topics covered in the art therapy online creativity class include:

🎨 Understanding intuition and its role in the creative process

🎨 Cultivating self-compassion and overcoming creative blocks

🎨 Connecting with emotions through colour, shape, and texture

🎨 Integrating art-making into a relaxing self-care practice

Your Intuitive art host: Susanna

Susanna, is a full time artist and important part of Universal Movement team as she is also one of our in house Pilates teachers. Her choice of material varies from drawing, painting and even ceramics with a red thread of inspiration in the realms not visible to the naked eye. Her biggest guide is her intuition, and it is this connection she lets us tap into in this class.

The participants will, if they are so inclined, have the opportunity to share their artwork within a supportive community of fellow learners and mutual encouragement.

Whether you're seeking personal growth, stress relief, or simply a creative outlet, " Creativity is key - Exploring Intuitive Art" offers a nourishing space for exploration and expression. These are some aims for the art therapy online creativity class:

Letting Go of Perfectionism: Intuitive art invites individuals to let go of the need for perfection and embrace the process of creation without judgment. By focusing on the experience of making art rather than the end result, artists can free themselves from the pressure to produce something "perfect" and instead allow their creativity to flow freely.

Accessing the Subconscious: Creativity blocks often stem from internal barriers, such as self-doubt, fear, or unresolved emotions. Intuitive art provides a direct channel to the subconscious mind, allowing artists to access deeper layers of thought, feeling, and intuition. Through the act of creating art, individuals may uncover and process underlying issues that are inhibiting their creativity.

Exploring New Possibilities: Engaging in intuitive art encourages experimentation and exploration, allowing individuals to break out of familiar patterns and try new approaches to making art. By embracing spontaneity and playfulness, artists can expand their creative repertoire and discover new techniques, materials, and ideas.

Trusting Intuition: Intuitive art and art therapy, encourages individuals to trust their instincts and inner guidance rather than relying solely on logic or external validation. By tuning into their intuition, artists can access a deeper wellspring of creativity and inspiration, leading to breakthroughs in their artistic practice.

Embracing Mistakes as Opportunities: In intuitive art, there are no "mistakes" – only opportunities for growth and discovery. By reframing perceived mistakes as valuable learning experiences, individuals can release the fear of failure and approach their creative practice with a sense of curiosity and openness.

Creating a Safe and Supportive Environment: Intuitive art is often practiced in a supportive and non-judgmental environment where individuals feel free to express themselves authentically. By creating a safe space for experimentation and vulnerability, artists can release inhibitions and explore their creativity with greater freedom and confidence.

Reconnecting with Joy: Ultimately, intuitive art is about reconnecting with the joy and wonder of creating. By rediscovering the pleasure of making art for its own sake, individuals can reignite their passion for creativity and overcome blocks that may have been holding them back.

Overall, intuitive art offers a holistic approach to releasing creativity blocks by addressing the underlying emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of the creative process.
